Rachel is one of my gorgeous senior models this year, and we had a blast shooting her senior portraits around the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.  We had a great day, and the Broadmoor is so full of gorgeous locations and architecture, I could shoot there forever.  Thanks for a great session, Rachel!

OH MY GOSH every single one of my senior models I’ve been able to meet so far is amazingly beautiful and has been so much fun to work with!  This is making me SO stoked for the summer – senior portrait season is my favorite time of year! Who am I kidding, it’s pretty much summer right now.  Anyway, Rachel is no exception!  This lovely lady drove up from Pueblo, and met me halfway in Colorado Springs for her mini-session.  We were planning to meet at one of my (formerly) favorite spots in the Springs – the cool woven sculptures on the CC campus – and I got there, and they were gone!  I knew they wouldn’t last forever, but I had no idea they’d be gone so soon :(  Well, we made a last minute change of plans and found some other amazing spots in downtown Colorado Springs :)

We’ve had a really, really early spring here, which I’m freaking out about, so I had to find some blossoms, because I’m just a little bit obsessed.  But first: Rachel, you are SOOO gorgeous!!

Sometimes, I think the greatest measure of beauty is what happens when your subject isn’t aware and posing for you … those small in-between moments of gracefulness, of beauty, are so true and authentic and un-fakeable.  For example: one of my favorites-

KC and I met on a gorgeous fall day for her senior pictures in Salida.  Love her great sense of style!  If you’re a senior in the Salida / Buena Vista area, please know that even though I’ve moved to the Boulder area, I’d still love to shoot your senior pictures!  We can meet in your neighborhood or mine, or somewhere fun in the middle!

Gorgeous!!

Taylor is a senior at St. Mary’s in Colorado Springs, and is gorgeous and amazingly fun.  I’m so jealous of her hair :)  We had a blast shooting her senior portraits around downtown Colorado Springs and Manitou this summer!

Kaela and I shot her senior portraits at the Rock Ledge Ranch near Garden of the Gods, and, true story, this also happens to be where I went to preschool!  Now it’s a living history museum, but back then it was called White House Ranch.  I haven’t been back in ages, and it was crazy to see all these things that I just barely remembered.

Kaela is such a sweetie and loves French (me too!).  At one point, we turned the corner and literally almost walked right smack into this cow.  It was awesome.  I love this cute session!

love the one against the “old english looking wall” . i know it’ s the rock ledge ranch, but looks like europe, esp w/her beret on. these look like a fashion shoot. love the ones w french book. you’ve created a foreign vibe in the midst of the rockies. amazing. she’s an incredibly natural model and works so well w/the (your) camera.
